7th-grade Spanish students in Ms. Hernandez's class are researching Latin American countries and presenting their findings to classmates. Through this student-led method of learning, students are gaining important critical thinking and collaboration skills. This engaging lesson places them in the role of a student as well as an instructor. Students also worked on pronunciation skills by giving an oral presentation about their families and friends in Spanish, and they are working in small groups to reinforce bilingual vocabulary skills. Great things are happening at Prince Edward County Public Schools!
