The elementary school recently hosted a Community Helpers Day, offering our kindergarten students an exciting opportunity to explore various careers in the helping professions. The event was a hands-on experience where students dressed up as community helpers and learned about different professions from real-life community members.
Principal Vance expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, 'Community Helpers Day is a fantastic way for our young students to gain insight into the vital roles that people in the helping field play. We are grateful to those who took the time to share their experiences and inspire our students.'
The day concluded with the students showcasing their chosen community helper roles in a parade inside the building, where they proudly displayed their outfits to their classmates.
The event was a great success, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to the Farmville Fire Department, Prince Edward Sheriff’s Department, a local Military Veteran/ROTC representative, a local contractor, Kregg's Eggs, and Southside Electric Cooperative.
