We are thrilled to announce that Cainan Townsend, a proud alumnus of PECHS, a dedicated school board member, and the executive director of the Moton Museum, has been honored as one of the 2024 Career Success Stars (CSS). Sponsored by the Virginia Department of Education, this recognition highlights former Career and Technical Education students who have achieved professional success. Mr. Townsend attributes part of his achievements to the career exploration opportunities he experienced at Prince Edward County High School, specifically citing computer-aided drafting, keyboarding, and electronics as particularly impactful learning experiences.

After serving a previous term, Mr. Townsend recently rejoined the school board. As a passionate educational advocate, he continues demonstrating how education can open doors to multiple career paths. The Career and Technical program at Prince Edward High School remains committed to expanding its offerings, allowing students to explore various career options. Congratulations to Mr. Townsend on this well-deserved honor!
